- P57An Ordinance Amending Pasco County Ordinance No. 21-18 Expanding The Boundaries Of The Connerton East Community Development District Pursuant To Chapter 190, Florida Statutes; Providing For Miscellaneous Provisions; Providing For An Effective Date.
Starkey Okay, so where is the Orange Belt Trail along Aaron Cut? The Orange Belt Trail is coming up Aaron Cutoff. So what I'm asking is where is it on this map? So I know that we've protected that that very important piece of land. I don't know if it's on the east side or the west side.
- P79Zoning Amendment (Regular) – Sandarben LLC – Change in Zoning from a A- C Agricultural District to a AR-5 Agricultural-Residential District – North Central Pasco County – Northwest Corner of Bellamy Bros Boulevard and Johnston Road – Containing Approximately 92.60 Acres
Starkey Yeah, but the the the Orange Belt Trail is having to deviate from the rail corridor, so I'm just not sure where it's going all around here and people are gonna wanna be able to get there. So just what what's going on here. You said that.
- Odessa Town Center CPAL 2201 large-scale comprehensive plan amendment
Several speakers Amy Heiler: and uh it aligns with the intent to uh connect that to what will then become the Orange Belt Trail and keep it going through. So
- P51Large-Scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment (Regular) - CPAL22(01) Odessa Town Centre PD (Planned Development) - Transmittal Of The Proposed Large-Scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment To The Future Land Use Map (Map 2-15 And Sheet 22) From RES-9 (Residential-9 DU/GA) And ROR (Retail/Office/Residential) To PD (Planned Development) On Approximately 86.38 Acres Of Real Property Located At The Southwest Corner Of The Intersection At State Road 54 And Gunn Hwy; And A Text Amendment Creating Subarea Policy FLU 7.1.68 – Odessa Town Centre PD; And A Map Amendment To The Future Land Use Map 2-9 Adding Subarea Map 2-9(68) Odessa Town Centre PD; And Providing For Additional Text Amendments As Necessary For Internal Consistency
Amy Heiler little bit. Sure. Yeah. So uh you will and this will be you'll see more of a visual when the MPD comes in that will implement this a little bit stronger. But yes, um along State Road 54, there is a trail. Um it is going to be connected, and I believe that this is going to connect. In the future to the Orange Belt. Correct. And so there is a trail proposed along the western boundary where your mixed use is from State Road 54 to Interlaken. There's also a trail within the m the center of the project being located along Blissfield. So in what you'll see is you'll have a trail along the western, the trail will connect through Blissfield. Up gun and then through or up old gun and then through the Lowe's project to Gun Highway, and that will provide a level of connectivity from the school to the old gun highway, and in the end it will connect to the old Orange Belt Trail System.
- P eighty-three Central Pasco Employment Village comprehensive plan text amendment
Starkey And it's called the Orange Belt Trail. We have no idea. And it and looking at I'm here on the property appraiser site and it's touching a lot of people's property and um You know, that's that needs to happen in a very good way. um and make sure that all the neighborhoods have access to this trail that's coming from Trinity to the Woodla Coochie State Trail sooner than you think. So um just ha had to get my trail two pieces in.

- P52Petition to Vacate Portion of Platted Right-of-Way (Regular) – BW 54 Cattle Gap, LLC – Pine Street, Tract 13, Lyon Company’s Subdivision – No Funding Required
Starkey pieces? My concern is, as always, is the orange belt trail. So I wanna know how that fits in here. Um As 'cause you can see there's a wetland right there, or a stormwater pond. So I just want to make sure we've taken it into account All we need. Because that road does something weird right there. You see where the E is on Gladstone Drive? How how is that possible? We're gonna skip over that corner? So I don't I don't really understand what's going on right there as far as Design.

Several speakers And I and I and I was sworn in just in cases came up. And for a little history on this trail, some of my staff people have heard this, but this is Um a trail alignment that I put on the state opportunity map when I represented Governor Bush. on the Greenways and Trails Council or I don't know, Bush, Scott or Chris? Um And it is the old Orange Belt Railroad line that the Pinellas Trail is built on today. Some of the portions of this trail, this uh abandoned railroad quarter were auctioned off on our courthouse steps, sadly. Commissioner Schrader owns the little piece over here, um, just south of what we're talking about today. Um but this is one of the most important trails, if not the most important trail in the county. It starts at at Frank in Trinity. And it it goes up tower, which we're gonna call Range Dance, gonna go over the Sun Coast. When I got elected Um my first MPO meeting was a meeting with DOT

Barbara Wilhite So we talked to staff about um I talked to staff, not we, I talked to staff and staff needs to to talk about that. One thing that we learned and in the meeting subsequent to yours with one of the other commissioners um was that the orange boat Orange Belt Trail when it comes up to Bell and me is gonna take a jog to the north, so the This may be an offshoot of the Orange Belt Trail. Um Coming down our way. but would not be the Orange Book Belt Trail 'cause it's going to jog to the north at Bellamy and we are at Old Pasco. So that's kind of a change. So In Once we learn that and talking to Terry Pitos with the existing sidewalk infrastructure that's already in place. They um didn't think the spend for additional uh using mobility fees to put more uh pavement for pedestrians and bikes in this location, especially because to

Starkey And right near here, there will be a mid-block crossing for that orange belt to get across the street to Starkey. And that trail going down between um the on the left edge or the western edge of this to interlock in, that that goes to a couple of schools and a church that are back there. And it a and it activates the community that's down there, Trinity East and others, um to be able to go to the restaurants that will be along fifty-four uh on the first floor of the building that will be along fifty four. Um without having to you know, they can do it they can come in a golf cart, they can come on a bike, they can walk the stroller. And so it acts it's really activates this as pedestrian center.
