Jon Moody Yeah, all right. So Steve I guess this is for you and our staff which is I'm not sure left and right turn lanes necessarily reduce speed. Is there something that could be done to the road itself that reduces speed. I mean like things like a chicane is there some Is there something that could be done to control speed? 'Cause I'm not sure like I said, left and right turn lanes just take people off the through lanes. They're not necessarily like maybe even increased speed because now you freed up the through lanes. So and the corollary to that is would staff even support speed tables on a collector road? I don't know that we would. But I have seen us for example, as like on Northwood Palms Boulevard, speed was a concern when we connected fifty-six to County Line Road and they ended up Jim Whitman came up with something called the Chicane that he put there.

Henry your speed to come into that approach. And they'll put it and they'll do what what's called a chicane prior to that to even slow 'em down before they even get to that roundabout so they're not hitting that roundabout speed. Where

Henry Well I can I th I think as Jordan had said, I think that part of it is trying to hit that light. So at this point when you know you've got to slow down to twenty twenty five miles per hour, th th they're gonna start slowing down north that there's no reason to go a hundred miles an hour because you're not going to hit that roundabout. at a hundred miles an hour. So you're gonna hit it at twenty-five miles per hour. So you're gonna start slowing down prior to that. Members of it,

School District Representative Just so Cynthia, just for the record, this would be subject to school concurrency and also school impact fees. We didn't get a chance to review it, but I just wanted to put that in for the record. Just like normal.

Seth Weightman Question for staff equipment. I think we talked about this, right, Mike, because it's It's proximity to the school. I just hope the use is complimentary For school safety and you name it, not a lot of high density traffic running through there, but I just want to make sure that it's complementary use with its proximity to the school there

Unidentified speaker My wife's in a wheelchair. Mm. They they get real reluctant with me. I it it's confrontational at some point in That's not a good thing. No. Um at all. Safety is huge and that's what we're here for is to control this. And it's not about value on two hundred and thirty-five dollars per square foot right you you're gonna purchase on these homes. I'm concerned about the community. And if we're gonna do this in this community Uh that's all I've heard. from is a plethora of how the growth is gonna go. I mean let's get control of it and make sense out of good projects. Um Safety's huge. That downhill coming I believe it's seven percent grade, if not greater, from the top of Happy Hill coming down, it's huge. The speeds I have uh uh surveillance cameras all around my home. It it's mind-boggling the

Henry Good afternoon. Steve Henry, Linkson Associates 5023 West Laurel, Tampa, 33607, and I have been sworn. Uh so just real quick on the traffic. Yeah, one of the things we did on this one because of the schools, we actually did longer counts. So we did counts from 6 a.m. to nine, and then we also did them from one in the afternoon to six, just to make sure we've captured all the school hours uh in there. But we we looked at uh Th that volume, we added a growth rate to it. In addition to that, we added the Dominion project to that. And when we looked at the analysis, you know, the the driveway works at the acceptable level of service. The volumes are are reasonable out there to allow it to operate within actually it's level of service A or C for the different movements within the intersection.
- PC2Zoning Amendment (Consent) - Murphy Road MPUD – Oakley Pasco County Property Trust, et al.– Rezoning Request from R-MH Mobile Home District and A-R Agriculture Residential District to MPUD Master Planned Unit Development District to Allow for the Development of 672 Single Family Detached Units and Platted Townhomes and Associated Infrastructure on Approximately 118.82 Acres Located in South Eastern Pasco County
Chris Williams Mariano. Mr. Chairman, I just want to point out that um I know we got an email, somebody asking about school capacity. I'm sure I'll repeat this. in August as well. But we you know, the reason I'm up here is to look at development through the lens of school capacity. And so just for the record, uh the schools out in Zephyrhills Uh Woodland Elementary is projected to be at 80%. uh next year. West Zephyrhills Elementary is projected to be at eighty percent next year. Stuart Middle is projected to be at 88% next year. And Zephyrhills high is projected to be at eighty-five percent next year. So we do strive to keep our we certainly we do have some schools that are over capacity and we're working to Remedy that but um We do work very hard to try to keep our schools at or below capacity.

School District Representative No, I was gonna mention though though there's I doubt I don't think there's twenty buses per school. I know at Gulf Side there's three, so I think that was a little bit overinflated the twenty buses per school.

George Megalodis Well, my name is George Megalodis. I live at [address removed]. The um Concern that we have that I have is The traffic. And Um Being that our sheriff's department in Pasco County is very uh limited to their uh use of traffic control. Um we don't think that the amount of homes going into that Uh area. with the three schools that are there, get a high school, middle school, and and an elementary school. And They need to either enhance the traffic situation Or Um create um safety zones. uh for the two mile radius children that walk to school. On Hollake Drive. Not so many on Anclo Road, but mainly on Holiday Holiday Lake Drive. Um traffic's gonna you have twenty buses per school. Three schools has sixty buses one way and sixty buses coming out the other way. uh for the total day. So plus you have put traffic and you have um parents that live in the subdivision. They drop their kids off in the morning before they go to work. So traffic is the main the main issue
