I know I had brought that issue up. during the first presentation and Patrick is professional enough to have followed up and called me back to discuss it with me and his findings. And I appreciate that. Um So There's different kinds of ADUs. There's the kind of ADU where we close in the garage or make a separate entrance into a house and maybe add a little kitchenette into the house or something so we're not really adding stormwater in that case. And then there's the type of ADU where um building grandma's shack in the back. Where I am adding to the stormwater to your point David or I'm trying to understand. Are you more concerned about the increase in the population or the increase of the stormwater runoff in the area? Both.

Then we'd be come in here and We'd say, Well, you're increasing the amount of stormwater runoff and therefore we wanna put this restriction or we wanna deny your ability to have the ADU. But if someone next door to them came in and said, Well, I just want to add another ten feet to my living room which wasn't an ADU, then we wouldn't look at the stormwater impact

Jon Moody All that being said. I don't know how many of you are familiar with pervious pavements or use of gravel. Mm-hmm. They're great from a stormwater perspective. But you know, one of the requirement one of the reasons we have those stormwater ponds to collect the runoff off of roadways and parking lots. is because there's a lot of break dust. There's a lot of motor oil. A lot of antifreeze, a lot of car fluids, transmission fluid. that leaks out of cars when it rains that flushes off the pavement and is caught in a stormwater retention system where it is I'm gonna use the term loosely, Jamie, to understand what I mean, treated. before discharge. If I park in a pervious concrete parking space or a gravel parking space and my car leaks oil, Guess where that oil just went? So that's the part the people don't like to talk about about that technology. So it's not the panacea that we all m it might be
