- R-31 Rangeland route study preferred alternative
Kathryn Starkey have to do that. Maybe some don't, but many do, and there are other neighborhoods around the area that also would like to not have to drive. State Road 54 to get to the airport. Um if you remember when the oil truck spilt and State Road 54 was closed down for most of the day. So this is this is a an extremely important road that's been planned for decades. Um and I think you've done a great job in designing it. And you know, we'll let it be in a future board. Maybe some of you will be here when when when and if we do uh connect to the Sun Coast. Um But for now, uh you know we just we have to move forward. I'm
- P44Roadway Transfer Agreement and Resolution to Change Official Street Names (Regular) – Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Pasco County – State Road 54 from State Road 581 to US Highway 301 and State Road 581 from State Road 56 to State Road 54/Wesley Chapel Boulevard - No Funding Required
Kathryn Starkey I do have a question. Um where are we on the on the widening of um Wesley Chapel Boulevard? Oh no, that's Bruce B. Downs, never mind. But I do have that question. But not
- P85Roadway Transfer Agreement (Consent) – Florida Department of Transportation – State Road 54A/Black Lake Road from State Road 54 Western Connection to State Road 54A/Black Lake Road Cul-De-Sac and State Road 54 Eastern Connection – No Funding Required
Kathryn Starkey Yeah, and we kind of found this out while we were working with a developer in in that area. So um it's kind of just a little oversight. Um is there anyone here to speak against this item? Do we have anyone signed up to speak against it? No one is signed
- Commissioner Starkey development and neighborhood concerns
Kathryn Starkey as well. So What what does that entail over there? Is that a very big ask or is that something that can be in the next update? Because we have one of these coming on State Road 54 in a very prime location. I've done all I can in my district to encourage them. to put in some architectural details, but we can't make them.
- R472025 State Legislative Discussion
Kathryn Starkey See, this is part of my question to you and to Ralph about and I had lunch with Hooper about we're trying to, you know, I'm trying to figure out if I should be asking for rangeland, which will relieve twenty to thirty percent of the traffic on 54. As you know what 54 shut down last year with the oil spill. It was a disaster Since there's no other road but one road on State Road fifty four. If something happens and it gets blocked. So um Can we ask for design money? And will that would that mess up the federal grant application? Um, I know we tried to cut it in pieces and they said no, you gotta do it all as one to to apply for a federal grant. Um so where are we w what do I need to do? As far as
- landscaping enforcing State Road 54
Kathryn Starkey Thank you. Just just like uh Senator Frasana was saying about the BTRs. Um I'm gonna say that we have a real problem. I brought this up before. um with the lack of landscaping. And I'm gonna show you again in a a month or two. What I'm talking about, but I want you guys to pay attention when you're driving around. Is
- Commissioner own business
Kathryn Starkey uh grateful that um the kids are gonna have something else to do and adults too. Um in the county. Um Then I want to show you some pictures that I took over the last few days on my drive down 54 to my home in Gulf Harbors. It's really frustrating because you can see this right from State Road 54. Do you have those pictures? Did they did they come?
- landscaping enforcing State Road 54
Kathryn Starkey You know, w when a new building comes in and it looks so nice, it really is good for the county. But when we let them take out all their trees one year later and the hedge disappears and everything's gone, we're back to where we were in 1970. And I I encourage you to drive down State Road 54 or State Road 52. and look at what's happening when we don't enforce our ordinance. So we've been sending out letters and they don't right now they don't have a lot of teeth. We have a few that have uh responded. Um, I'm gonna send out another we're gonna start sending out other letters to the database we're building and say second notice, but at some point I think um, you know, if if we don't require them to keep their landscaping or maintain it, let's just go back to, you know, how we looked in the sixties and seventies and They wait Say don't you don't have to put any landscaping in. Because it looks really bad. You'll have a bush
- Old business commissioner reports and video
Kathryn Starkey And something that I'm trying to figure out um is how at the preserve the the new there's uh a s new C V S, some other new buildings you'll see it, maybe some of you when you're going home. They didn't put any trees and they're open. So and this is brand new fronting State Road 54th preserve at Suncoast and 54. So I don't understand how that happened. I've met with um Roberto out there and we're researching it.

Kathryn Starkey don't know if staff could to show me what the planned opportunities are in this area. Um there's one along State Road fifty six, but I know nothing about what's going on on State Road fifty four.
- Rangeland route study and interchange
Kathryn Starkey this next road is that comes between Lake Point and Cattle Gap. Um so there's a lot of ways to get to fifty four besides Gun and Fifty Four. That's kind of what I was thinking.
