- PC10Zoning Amendment (Consent) – Martha Joanne Wood Hinman – Change in Zoning from an R-1 Rural Density Residential District and R-2 Low Density Residential District to a MF-1 Multiple-Family Medium Density District – South Central Pasco County – North of Caroline Drive, West of Bridleford Drive – Containing Approximately 40.20 Acres
Jon Moody would would a speed cable assuage your concern about speeding down Caroline Drive? If they were to put in some traffic calming devices to make sure you couldn't use it as a drag strip? You can just show me your hands.
- PC7Zoning Amendment (Consent) - Hilltop Vistas MPUD - Belly Wadding LLC - A Petition for a Rezoning from R-1 Rural Density Residential District to MPUD Master Planned Unit Development District to Allow for the Development of 117 Single Family Detached Residential Units on Approximately 39.1 Acres Located on the West Side of Happy Hill Road, approximately 700 feet North of County Road 52
Jon Moody Yeah, all right. So Steve I guess this is for you and our staff which is I'm not sure left and right turn lanes necessarily reduce speed. Is there something that could be done to the road itself that reduces speed. I mean like things like a chicane is there some Is there something that could be done to control speed? 'Cause I'm not sure like I said, left and right turn lanes just take people off the through lanes. They're not necessarily like maybe even increased speed because now you freed up the through lanes. So and the corollary to that is would staff even support speed tables on a collector road? I don't know that we would. But I have seen us for example, as like on Northwood Palms Boulevard, speed was a concern when we connected fifty-six to County Line Road and they ended up Jim Whitman came up with something called the Chicane that he put there.

Jon Moody you. Yeah, I do have another question. Does the county still have a traffic calming device program? There used to be a program where you could petition. It requires votes by the by by the adjacent property. Right. As a traffic engineer. I mean and I I hear their concerns of the residents. I and that's why I asked you earlier what was the speed limit on the road. Caroline's a straight road. Right now it's in poor condition. We're gonna pave it. I see a drag strip coming in the future. Um Is there a safety problem with putting a traffic coming, whether it be speed tables or whatever the case may be? To to try to slow that down. That's

Jon Moody sense? Well I understand that, but they've expressed the concern. I'm not convinced that I like the speed table idea either. I'm trying to ferret that out. That's why I asked are there safety issues with these things too. So
